Sent this to Dad yesterday but want everyone to see it.
Updates for Oliver and Family and a Thank You to DAD.
-------------------------
Hi dad,
Today was my first day back to school. I can't believe the difference between how much energy I have during vacation vs. how much energy I don't have after my brain working on overdrive for 10-12 hours straight.
We no longer have one of our Spanish teachers and I might be taking one of the class periods of Spanish next semester (which starts next week).
I've also been working on some podcasts to help students learn about macro-molecules.
We had family home evening tonight and Megan, Ryan, and I acted out a bunch of scripture stories. It reminded me a lot of some of the family home evenings we had. Evan was watching Ninja Turtles while we were doing the lesson but promptly came and sat down at the table and waited very patiently as soon as the timer for the brownies started beeping.
Anyways.I Didn't have the chance to call you tonight so wanted to send you this email. Thanks for being so great. I thought about you a lot today and hope your birthday was OK for you. Probably not the best one seeing how mom is off to the other side of the world today. It was so fun to have you in Springville for a week.
You are such a god Father to me. Thanks for your constant example.
Happy Birthday.

I think everyone should post a fun experience they had with Dad.
I remember when we lived in Oklahoma and a bunch of us scouts had to do a hike (20 miler maybe?) for our hiking merit badge. He drove us out to the middle of no where and told us to start walking. A few hours later he found us with the van and if I remember correctly, a rock got wedged in between the break and the wheel. Somehow he had got it loose but ripped his pants in the process. Like a super ultra rip that spanned his whole leg. We were miles away from anything and he couldn't just leave us out there and drive back to town. It made the experience a little more memorable. Thanks for all the adventures Dad!
