Storms, Hikes, Temples and Kelly

It has been really bad weather this week. We have closed the park a few times this week and last. Today's after noon storm was really scary. There was a ton of lightning and thunder. And the wind was blowing so hard that chairs, tubes and garbage cans were blowing everywhere. The weather here is so unpredictable. Its terrible one hour and the next its beautiful. Then it gets bad again later that day. There is no knowing. Oliver and I went on another hike this week. And it was raining of course. But it was nice and cool. It was by far the hardest hike we did. I think it was called slate canyon. It was pretty steep. We hiked for about an hour but we didn't do the whole hike because I had to go to the Oquirrh Mountain Temple open house. It was my second open house. Rexburg was my first. It was fun and I went with two of my friends. We didn't have to work that day because we didn't open. The temple actually looks like a mini Rexburg temple. Its not a very big one but it was beautiful. I'm glad I'm having these experiences when I'm still young. That same night we went to the Kelly Clarkson concert. She was the very first winner of American Idol. She played at UVU. I don't know all her music but I do know some of her stuff. Really I went to do something with my friends. And of course it was raining there as well. She is a really good live performer. Must be all those weeks of practice from American Idol. My summer is going good. I just doesn't feel like summer yet because of the weather. I'll be happy when it gets warmer. Because it didn't feel like summer we bought a Santa Clause fruit. We were daring. It actuallly tastes a lot like honeydew. It was sweet and yummy. You all should try one.
