Science demonstration

Science class is fun. Especially when I get to do something exciting. Here’s an example of things we get to do:

Getting Organized

So, I did an enrichment lesson about "Getting the Right Things Done and Not Stressing About the Rest." Chris said I should share a link on the family blog.

This includes the presentations plus some demos of a really great free online tool called toodledo.com

http://r1rs.goalbased.com/GTD.html

I was really pleased to find the tool, I had been looking for something like it for a long time. Now me and Chris are really (FINALLY!) starting to organized.

Hope this might be helpful to some of you.

Basement!

It is not 100% finished yet, but it is close enough to celebrate. Here are some pictures of the journey.

After weeks of no snow and temperatures in the 40's, 50's and even up to 69 degrees Mother Nature decided to remind us that it is winter in Nebraska. Here is what our yard and driveway looked like after we shoveled about 8 inches of snow! It was nice to have a "snow day" even if it was a Saturday. Jimmy and Ari called us just after this photo was taken to tell us they were sitting out by the pool and to tell us he has taken his last CPA exam! And, he thinks he passed. Congratualations Jimmy!
Oliver took me on a birdwatching trip with the local group on a cold day in January. Here he is looking at a rare woodpecker through his binoculars . This was near Salem. Then we went down to the Lake. It was freeeeeezing. Oliver stood next to the huge blocks of ice that had rolled onto the shore from the frozen lake. I stayed in the car to take the photo.
